Cybersecurity in Ticino and Switzerland

EXYS is a cybersecurity company based in Bioggio, near Lugano. We protect businesses in Ticino with solutions developed and operated entirely in Switzerland.

Cybersecurity for businesses in Ticino

Businesses in Ticino – from Lugano to Mendrisio, from Bellinzona to Locarno – are just as much a target as those in Zurich or Milan. Phishing, stolen credentials, ransomware and email fraud hit professional services firms, SMEs, industry and public administration alike, many of which have no dedicated IT security team.

From Bioggio, EXYS works with businesses of every size, from small businesses to large enterprises, in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, aerospace, finance, leisure and public administration. We own the entire codebase of our products and operate our services from Switzerland, so we don't depend on third parties to update our products or adapt them to your needs.

FADP and NIS2: where do you stand?

The revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP), in force since 1 September 2023, requires appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. If you do business in the EU, NIS2 may apply to you too, directly or through EU customers who require it from their suppliers. Our free compliance check asks 13 questions on NIS2, the FADP and the ICT Minimum Standard, then shows your score and the gaps to close. It runs entirely in your browser.

Getting started

  1. A first conversation

You tell us how your infrastructure is set up and what worries you.

  2. A clear picture of your security

We map what you already have: inventory, vulnerabilities and weak points, for example with Ocelot.

  3. The right solutions

We propose only the solutions your business needs, and put them in place together with you.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work with small businesses too?

Yes. Our solutions are designed for businesses of every size, from small businesses to large enterprises, and you can start with just one.

Where is the data processed?

In Switzerland. EXYS solutions are developed entirely in Switzerland and operated from Switzerland, and the data we process stays in Switzerland.

Can you help with the FADP and NIS2?

Yes, on the technical side. Our free compliance check tells you where you stand and which gaps to close, and each gap points to the solution that closes it. We can then go through the results together. It is not legal advice.

What should a business do after a cyberattack?

Disconnect the affected systems from the network without switching them off, so that evidence is preserved, and do not pay any ransom. Report the incident to the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC): for operators of critical infrastructure this is mandatory within 24 hours. Then file a criminal complaint with the cantonal police. The Canton of Ticino's Cybersicuro portal offers further guidance.

Where is EXYS based?

In Bioggio, at Strada Regina 16, a few minutes from Lugano. We work with businesses throughout Ticino and the rest of Switzerland.
